Carwynnen Quoit is a dolmen belonging to the Neolithic period, at Carwynnen near Camborne in west Cornwall. It is also known as 'The Giant's Quoit', 'The Giant's Frying Pan', 'Pendarvis Quoit' and 'Pendarves Quoit'. June 30 2018 - Day About with Angela

Troon is about 3 miles from Angela's house.

This  is a ROAD in Troon.   We had to drive behind these people until they came to a tiny shoulder to stand in with their stroller so we could get by.

 Angela's parent's lived here.
David Trestrail's house.  Inside is beautiful.

I just learned in my Ancestry.com research that this is a church my relatives from the Camborne area were lifelong members and that they lived in Knave Go Bye

old Cornish name  - Praze-an-Beeble is a medium-sized village situated on a cross-roads between Camborne (two and a half miles) and Helston (seven miles). The name translates from the Cornish as 'meadow on the River Beeble' and sure enough the River Beeble, a fairly feeble tributary of the River Hayle, does run through the bottom of the village.

The origins of Praze-an-Beeble are uncertain although it is assumed that it began existence as an estate village attached to Clowance House, a two minute walk from the pub. Clowance, once the main residence of the St Aubyn family, is now a country club and holiday complex.

We were 2 miles from ocean beach in Porthleven but didn't go as it was a weekend and parking is difficult there.

I had family members from Helston long ago.  Man made lake was nice to walk around.
Took Hayle route back to Camborne.
