Amazing journey across the pond - a very long and well thought out plan arranged a half year ago figuring out times, express train from Heathrow to Paddington Station and a 4 and a half Great Western Express train to Truro, where I was picked up by Julie of Riverside Cottages. We went to a Cornish Organic shop for fresh strawberries and clotted cream, and fresh asparagus for part of our Monday evening. I was so happy to arrive, meet Julie and Harry, and take a tour of their small animal landing, have a few hours to chat, then I went to my beautiful room, and passed out from exhaustion.
Arrived at Harry and Julie's farm and had to wait for 4 horseback riders to clear the narrow dirt land to their farm entrance. This place is magical.
Wild Oddities of a Nature Woman is a down-to-earth blog that embraces Mother Nature and all living things in a gentle, sustainable way. Come take trips with me into the gardens, the seashore, greenbelt trails, wildflower meadows, on a sailboat, and into my kitchen. This summer, travel with me to the ancient county of Cornwall, UK as I volunteer on 3 organic farms in the place where my ancestors were born, lived, worked, and died.

May 27th 2018 - Getting Ready to leave for JFK in a few hours
All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go................I'm leaving on a jet plane.....see you on the other side of the pond.
I haven't finished the rain garden but it's a start. It's raining here in Lindenhurst and the street run off is going into the swale. Once I've returned, I need to make a trench in the driveway and add more stones to divert water from flooding the driveway.

May 23 - 4 days left before I depart to London
I'm getting very excited about this 44 day trip to volunteer on 3 organic farms in Cornwall. There is much work left to do before Sunday. Praying for the strength to accomplish everything that needs to be done on the gardens and house.
